Many of us suffer from sensitive skin, particularly during those long, cold winter months. Sensitive skin is reactive skin which has been weakened and can no longer protect itself against environmental irritants. Kew aw many irritant which affect the skin and add to irritation, including heat, cold, wind and micro-dust pollution to name a few, all of which are present in our atmosphere. The thinner and more dehydrated the epidermis, the more deficient its protective hydrolypidic film and the more sensitive the skin becomes.
When the skin does not provide sufficient protection against environmental irritants, its defence rnechanisrns are activated. This results in symptoms of discomfort, such as stinging and pulling of the skin, often causing irritation and redness. For skin to be able to naturally fight off environmental irritants, it is necessary to restore functionality to the skin barrier and rebuild the protective hydm!ypid!cNm. Guinot's Masque Hydra Sensitive is a specially formulated skin care, which protects and reinforces the skin thanks to four key active ingredients. These work on and beneath the surface of the skin.
The Limphokinine Formula: containing Alpha- Bisabolol, Oak Extract and Corn Extraa skin tolerance is improved and symptoms of discomfort are visibly reduced.
Sweet Almond Oil: known for its soothing effects on the skin, this key active ingredient restores and reinforces the skin's hydrolipiclic film and cellular cohesion.
Vitamin E: with its powerful antioxidant properties, membrane lipids are reinforced and protected from damage caused by free radicals.
Centella Asiatica Extract: a tropical plant from Asia., this key active ingredient protects capillaries, improving their resistance. It generates skin and soothes discomfort. As a result, the skin is desensitised and capillaries are protected.
Application: Use once or twice a week. Apply a thick layer of mask on a cleansed face and neck and leave on for ten minutes. Remove the mask with a cotton pad and finish with a toner.
